Paul Sullivan - Benchmark Media and Entertainment

Paul
Sullivan

With 14 years’ experience in the film industry, Paul Sullivan has garnered an impressive list of project credits and experience, including The Matrix trilogy, Baz Luhrmann's Moulin Rouge (for which he was nominated for a DGA award) and George Lucas’ Star Wars: Episodes II and III.

Since starting Benchmark Media and Entertainment in 2010, Paul has produced seven Australian and internationally acclaimed TV series’ including My Family Feast, which was nominated for a Logie. He produced award-winning short film The Road Home by Denie Pentecost and Series One of Woven Threads - ‘Stories from Afar’, an animated documentary series airing on ABC iview, which follows the journey of eight refugees. The series has since been integrated into the primary and secondary school curriculum in Western Australia and Victoria, with a view to expand nationally. Paul is currently working on Series 2 and 3 of Woven Threads, as well as continuing to work on the slate of TV shows and films they have in development.

Giovanni Pacialeo - Benchmark Media and Entertainment

Pacialeo

Giovanni is an award-winning director, with a unique vision and creativity that comes from the heart. 

His experience spans over two decades, working as a director on Superman Returns, The Knowing, The Matrix II & III, Baz Luhrmann's Moulin Rouge and George Lucas’ Star Wars: Episodes II and III, just to name a few. 

Since starting Benchmark Media and Entertainment in 2010, Gio has worked consistently with brands like ALDI, Hungry Jacks and Riverview Pork, delivering maximum results. His unique and honest approach to directing, storytelling and production design are what sets his work apart. 

On-set, Gio feels at home, either behind the lens or monitor, and he will tell you that he owes this confidence to the amazing mentors he has had along the way.

Michi Marosszeky - Benchmark Media and Entertainment

Michi
Marosszeky

Michi is the creator and director of Woven Threads - ‘Stories from Afar’, an animated documentary series airing on ABC iview, which follows the journey of eight refugees.

For over 19 years, she has worked in the Australian and international film industry across large-budget feature films, television dramas and commercials. Michi has shot several documentaries in locations from central NSW to the Middle East, including autobiographical documentary, Third Time Lucky, distributed by the former Australia Network.

In 2016, the first episode of Woven Threads - ‘Stories from Afar’, premiered at TEDxSydney and has since received critical acclaim at numerous film festivals around the world. The series has also made an impact in Australia, having been selected as part of the primary and secondary school curriculum in Western Australia and Victoria, with a view to roll out nationally. 

Michi is currently working on Series Three of Woven Threads, set to be released in 2020.

Tommy Pacialeo - Benchmark Media and Entertainment

Tommy
Pacialeo

Tommy began his career in the media and entertainment industry at Hoyts Cinemas.

His love of cinema drove him to become one of the industry's most experienced lead projectionists, running multiple cinemas at various complexes throughout Sydney.

Tom has worked as a B Camera Operator on Sean’s Kitchen TV Series' One & Two, camera assistant and editor on The Star’s What’s On Series with Richard Wilkins and camera operator, assistant and editor on the Pina Cucina SBS and YouTube Food series.

Nicola
Bettoni

Nicola is a talented film maker, camera operator and editor. Born and raised in Brescia Italy Nicola brings a unique style to his work. His up brining in northern Italy placed him in the centre of high fashion, art and culture.

Nicola studied filmmaking at the Mohole Academy in Milan and during his studies he executed work for FILA in Paris and a documentary in China. After his studies Nicola obtained a full time position at film production company Cinqueesei, working for clients to the likes of Amazon and Netflix as a camera operator and editor.

Now living and working in Australia with the BME team Nicola has shot and edited work for Sanpellegrino, The Star, NTT and NSW transport.
