Unlocking The Funding To Produce Original Screen Content

Benchmark Media and Entertainment (BME), founded by Giovanni Pacialeo and Paul Sullivan, has shaken up the traditional production company structure, breaking down traditional silos in the hierarchical media (TVC, Corporate Video) and entertainment (TV & Film Production) industries.

With a solid media portfolio in place, BME pursued its passion for creating new format TV series’, however funding was always a hurdle. By integrating media brands into series’ content, BME created a highly-influential, integrated new marketing channel, with the opportunity to reach a global market.

To date, BME has been able to create and produce original Australian content, including the award-winning SBS TV Series, My Family Feast, On The Grill, iKATCH and Sean’s Kitchen.

Most recently, BME’s award-winning series Woven Threads: Stories from Afar, has screened at 15 international film festivals, forms part of VIC and WA educational curriculum and is shortlisted as ‘Best Short Documentary Series’ in the 2019 AACTA Awards.
